Content, Content, Content!
This semester I’ve realized that a large chunk of my
classes have something to do with content creation. I’ve always wanted to learn
how to manage and create content, so I
made sure to get into these types of courses for the semester. I’m not really
sure if I am in over my head yet, but I’m sure that if I don’t let work build up
at the start then I can probably get through the semester. I’m most excited
about starting a podcast, I’m not really sure what it would even be about, but
I hope I can find a topic that is interesting to me and to the audience. There is
some content I would love to make, but the audience would be too niche to
really share with other people in the class. Ideally, I would want to talk
about one of my hobbies, like maybe a genre of games, or even a specific game,
but I know finding that audience wouldn’t be easy, and people from my class wouldn’t
really know anything about the topic. I mean I guess my goal could be to make
the topic more digestible to those who aren’t actively involved in the community,
but there is just so much that I would probably just be me rambling about
nonsense for 20 minutes. I’ll post an update whenever I decide on a topic.
How has the shift back into school life been for
you? What kind content do you engage
with most often?
I think that you should podcast about what interests YOU! If you're interested in something, odds are plenty of other people are as well. I think it may be easier to find your audience than you may expect. It may take a while to cultivate and grow that audience, but I would bet money it exists, for sure. And I'm the kind of person who's totally down to learn new things. I think people are at their best when they're talking about the things they love, and when someone is passionate about something, it's all the more compelling.
